RANDOM FACTS

I use way too many exclamation marks, but I'm really just that excited!!!! I want to know what moves your heart. I say "that's so funny" quite a bit, but it can mean a number of things. I am a lover of donuts and tea. I floss every night before bed! I love the idea of being spontaneous, but rarely do things unplanned. I am the youngest of four girls, but I'm taller than all my sisters. I would love to open a cafe someday. I am fascinated by the bridegroom God and his ravished heart for all of humanity

    in just a little while…

Spent some time looking through my parents’ wedding album last night. So beautiful! I can’t believe this will be me in just a little while!

    follow me on instagram! @leener104

    I SAID YES!

I can’t believe it’s already been a month since I said YES! Wow, what a crazy journey it has been so far! A lot of you have been asking me how Benny proposed and I try my best to describe the details, but finally here are some pictures : )

So I had NO IDEA this was about to happen. We had just gone out to a late dinner + dessert and I was expecting to come home and rest because I was shooting a wedding the next day. It was just past 12am when we got home, December 23rd, my 25th birthday! (yes, I shot a wedding on my birthday! haha). But instead of parking by my house like Benny usually does, he drove straight into my backyard! The first thing I saw were tons of lights on both sides. I started freaking out JUST a tiny bit thinking this must be a really nice birthday surprise or…something! NO WAY was he going to propose..was he?! No wayyy…! We parked and he invited me out for a walk…
It was beautiful! Never had I seen my backyard this nice! haha. Benny planned for everything to be displayed kind of like an art exhibit and so we walked through each part.
You might be wondering why there’s a little girl’s bike and a Hello Kitty scooter on display. These were shipped all the way from Kansas City to Los Angeles for this very night! The bike and scooter played such a big part in our relationship, because I learned how to ride a bike for the very first time in KC and Benny was there to cheer me on! After that day as I practiced outside, Benny would join along, riding my niece’s Hello Kitty scooter by my side. And that was the beginning of us! haha. Below, instagram cookies that I ordered for Benny for our 1 month anniversary! verses that really spoke to us this season + ice skates, ordered from the place where we had one of our first dates! Everything that was displayed meant something special to us. Thank you Benny for thinking of all these things! < even his car was part of the exhibit! hehe and then it happened!! I couldn’t believe it! ENGAGED?! I loved the details from that night so much I went outside the next morning to capture them in natural light too, hehe. THANK YOU to everyone who helped put this together! And thaaat was how it happened! THANK YOU Benny for putting so much thought into everything and making the night so special for me! I loved it! Ahhhh, can’t believe we are gonna get married!! : )

    Stanford Engagement Session

Jeff and Lisa-Anne first met at UCSD through an entrepreneurship club on campus. She was the president and he wanted to join. Lisa-Anne and I laughed over the phone as she remembered his long hair and bad habit of falling asleep in class back then. And while it was not necessarily love at first sight for these two, they started falling for each other as the school year progressed.

Both Jeff and Lisa-Anne are up north now for school (and work!) and since Jeff is getting his PhD at Stanford University they decided it would be special to have their engagement session there. Love how these turned out! Thanks for having me you two- looking forward to your wedding this June!

    CHRIS + ANNA MARRIED!

Oh how I love my hometown! : ) Anna, Chris, and I went to Temple City High School together and their wedding was a mini reunion with lots familiar faces; I had such a wonderful time! Anna and Chris were wedded at the beautiful Darlington House in La Jolla. The place had so much personality Michelle (thank you for helping me Michelle!) and I had so much fun capturing all the details!

Thank you for treating me like family, Anna + Chris! I feel right at home with you two and I am honored to have been a part of your big day! Blessings!

    Joe + Sherry ENGAGED!

Joe and Sherry will be getting married this coming Sunday! I had so much fun with them on their engagement session and I’m definitely looking forward to their big day! Sherry is GORGEOUS in these shots, btw! Love her maxi dress- it fit the sunset so well. She also reminds me of an actress, but I can’t exactly pinpoint who- does she remind you of anyone?! If you think of someone, do share! : )

Joe and Sherry are finishing up finals this week (they are both in dental school), so wish them luck! Ace those tests and I’ll see you two very soon! : ) Woohoo!

    Aaron + Jessica ENGAGED!

Jessica was the winner of my photoshoot giveaway last year. She was such a huge support throughout the whole contest and I remember seeing her “like” every single one of my posts! hehe. Thank you, Jessica! I’m so glad you were the winner!

We had so much fun during our session and it was a pleasure to finally meet Aaron (I’ve known Jessica from high school!). Your story is beautiful and I believe God will only continue to bless and lead you both as the wedding day approaches. Many blessings!
