RANDOM FACTS

I use way too many exclamation marks, but I'm really just that excited!!!! I want to know what moves your heart. I say "that's so funny" quite a bit, but it can mean a number of things. I am a lover of donuts and tea. I floss every night before bed! I love the idea of being spontaneous, but rarely do things unplanned. I am the youngest of four girls, but I'm taller than all my sisters. I would love to open a cafe someday. I am fascinated by the bridegroom God and his ravished heart for all of humanity

    Olivia’s 1st Birthday!

My baby niece Olivia celebrated her 1 year earlier this month. WOW, 1 year! (You might recognize her from her 6 month shoot with all the colorful foods she was eating then.) This little one is such a sweetie, always full of smiles. I can’t wait to get to know her better in the coming years : )

Once again, my sister Liz did a fantastic job with this party! Even though it was just a small party for family she put together something so amazing in such a short amount of time. Yes, you’re AMAZING LIZ!! We all think she should start her own event planning/decorating business- maybe you all could help us convince her : ) hehe.

    Lina Turns THREE!

My little niece Angelina turned three earlier this month. I can’t believe it..THREE! I was looking at old pictures from the hospital when she was first born and wow, what a HUGE difference three years can make! She was teeny-tiny then, wrapped-up in a blanket and barely able to sneak a peek at us… now she is quite the little lady! She loves to dress up and wear fun accessories and she has an opinion about oh, just about everything! She is a very intense little girl, super determined and very persistent (she will accomplish great things when she’s older! : )). Lina is one tough cookie, but she’s also super sweet and has a very kind heart. While traveling with my sister’s family this past year Lina would share her Asian fish snacks with me every night at the hotel (while she should have been sleeping) and we’d snuggle and giggle over funny sounds and silly stories we make up. It’s so fun watching you grow up, Lina..I love you so much!
For her third birthday, Lina’s mommy, my sister Liz, decided on a garden themed party! With succulents, stringed fruits, and lots of green, this party was the perfect way to celebrate spring!
handmade bags specialized for each child and lemon cakes nicely packed for the parents..
here, a bunch of healthy snacks and some yummy pasta!
after lunch the the kids built their own terrariums with little succulents and fun props. I had no idea it required so many different layers of materials! The kiddies had SO much fun and I love how they all turned out! : )
step 1: add rocks! step 2: ..some charcoal… step 3: put some moss in there!
    step 4: add soil
step 5: choose your succulents and plant them in!
step 6: have fun and decorate!
    tadaaaa!
And what’s a party without cake?!
…right before cake cutting Lina fell off of something and hurt herself. Here she is with her cake. haha, so sad but so cute!
    much better : )
    Happy Birthday Lina! : )

    Jackie’s 50th Birthday!

When my friend Melissa (Mo!) contacted me to photograph her mom’s 50th birthday party, I couldn’t have been more excited. Mo and I were both part of the drill team in jr. high and then in the same drama class in high school. I just remember laughing with her a lot and so I knew this party would be nothing but fun. Melissa and her siblings did such a great job throwing it together- there were tons of good food, great music from a live DJ, and lots of loving family and friends. Everyone had a blast!
Everyone meet Jackie, the birthday girl : ) She was glowing the whole night!
    love all the details!
    this little guy is adorable!

Halfway into the night Jackie gave a speech to thank all the guests for coming. Cake and dancing quickly followed as the celebration continued!
And now the dancing pictures! I had so much fun dancing along as I took pictures, haha. Here are some of my favorites from the night…
and look who was DJing this whole time! : ) hehe
I really wish I could share all the fun pictures with you here, but there are just too many! I promise I’ll post the rest of them up on my facebook page, so stay tuned! For now, we’ll end with these. ..
Jackie and her children, a.k.a. the awesome party planners! : )
Happy 50th Birthday Jackie! : ) Blessings to you this coming year! And Mo, thank you for inviting me over to join in on all the fun. I really had a blast!

    Kay’s 8th Birthday Party!

My oldest niece just turned 8! Isn’t it crazy how time flies?! I still remember the night when my sister Emily told our family she was pregnant…we were all so excited! Now 8 years later we are STILL very excited for this little (or not so little anymore!) one and the life ahead of her.
My second sister Elizabeth threw this whole party together. You might recognize her work from Timmy and Judy’s baby shower in October. Yes, she’s amazing! Liz is super detailed in everything that she does and I love how this Butterfly-themed birthday party turned out. You will be seeing more of her stuff here for sure! : )
Everyone had sandwiches for lunch. Yum, I could use one right about now : )
I love how there was a table for all the girls..and then a little one for the three (one is missing in this picture!) boys at the party, hehe.
The house was filled with energy! All the kiddies were running around after lunch playing Simon Says and other games they made up. It’s so much fun watching them! : )
And what’s a party without cake?!
    …and presents!
Finally, after some more running around it was time for all the kids to nap. Everyone was so sad to go! Emily prepared goodie bags for all the kids to take home and Liz baked these delicious green-tea cookies for all the parents. What a great way to end the party! : )
Kay is seriously the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet. She has such a kind heart and is always thinking of others before herself. Hooray for this new year! I can’t wait to see what God will show you this year Kay! Happy birthday again from your Ayi-4..I love you so much! : )
*more pictures from Kay’s party coming soon on my facebook page!

SHE SAID YES: Hannah and Jeremiah Engaged!

My good friends Hannah and Jeremiah got engaged this past weekend! WOOHOO! I couldn’t be happier for them- they are the perfect pair!
When I first found out that Jeremiah was going to propose I got SUPER giddy and as you can imagine, had a very hard time keeping it from Hannah (but the proposal was a success and Hannah was clueless about the whole thing…yesss!). Since Hannah and Jeremiah both love to travel we decided on a travel-themed engagement. A few of us helped out with the decorations and had so much fun shopping, creating, and watching it all come together!
A few weeks before the actual day we went to scout out the location and see what we could do with it. This place, Jeremiah explained, was a gift! A year ago, he had gone off driving on his birthday, wanting a gift from God. He ended up at this location and immediately knew that he would propose to his future wife there. WOW! He also took Hannah here the night they got together!

After setting everything up Jeremiah’s mom and baby sister cooked us a delicious feast!

We ate and rested, but soon returned to the site to wait for Hannah and Jeremiah. When 10:45pm came around we all ran into the bushes to hide as the lovebirds approached. It was such a sweet moment when they arrived, Hannah totally thrown off, surprised and amazed with Jeremiah in hand, leading her into the lights. And then it happened! He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him…she said YES!
and then we all popped out! It was a glorious celebration! : )
Jeremiah also asked Hannah’s family to prepare a video from Seattle; I love how they were able to be a part of this special occasion from miles and miles away!
and then we celebrated some more! Cheers to the beautiful journey ahead!
The night ended at their apartment with dessert, stories, and so much love! Oh Hannah and Jeremiah, CONGRATS to YOU!! I love you guys so much! : )
