RANDOM FACTS

I use way too many exclamation marks, but I'm really just that excited!!!! I want to know what moves your heart. I say "that's so funny" quite a bit, but it can mean a number of things. I am a lover of donuts and tea. I floss every night before bed! I love the idea of being spontaneous, but rarely do things unplanned. I am the youngest of four girls, but I'm taller than all my sisters. I would love to open a cafe someday. I am fascinated by the bridegroom God and his ravished heart for all of humanity

    Family Session with the Wus

Gwen and I have been friends for over 13 years. We met in the 5th grade, but it was really during the awkward years of Jr. high where we became best friends. When Gwen moved to D.C. about a year ago it was hard not having her around, but she recently moved back to LA and I see her just about every day now. In fact, Gwen is sitting across from me as I write this post! haha
When I picked Gwen up from the airport earlier this month we talked about having a photo session for her family. We had plans to take pictures at a different location, but because of all the crazy rain recently we thought it would be best to do it at their home instead (they do have a beautiful house!). It was really a blessing taking pictures for the Wus!
I  love this next shot of Gwen and her mom.
and I do love these pictures of the siblings, too. Aren’t they so cute? I met Gwen before her brother Winston was born so it’s hard to believe that he is THIS big now!
What a beautiful family and a beautiful home, too! : )

Portrait Session with Make-up Artist Cherry Le

It was such a pleasure photographing Cherry this week. We always have so much fun together and I loved everything about our shoot! Cherry recently quit her 9-5 job in order to pursue her lifelong dream as a make-up artist. Wow! It’s amazing how far you can go doing something you truly love! Last week Cherry was at The Grammy doing make-up and this weekend she was busy at the NBA All-Star Weekend Beauty Suite. Girl, I am so proud of you! : )
    I just LOVE Cherry’s style!
Cherry, you are absolutely beautiful, inside and out. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for you and your career this year. I also can’t wait to work with you on future shoots! : ) For everyone else, check out her work here!

    Makayla Elizabeth, 2 Weeks Old!

Sarah and I met up a few weeks before Makayla was born to hang-out, catch-up, eat, and shop for baby clothes. Throughout the day Sarah would reach into her purse for a roll of Smarties every 5 minutes (ok, I’m exaggerating!)- that was her only craving during this pregnancy! After our date I knew we just had to have Smarties in our photoshoot…and so we did! Our shoot also centered around other things that Sarah loves- pink, kitty cats, and pink kitty cats! : )
We put some Smarties in Makayla’s hands and she wouldn’t give them back! It’ll be a while before you can actually have some of that, Makayla.
Sarah is such a great mom. It was so beautiful to watch her interact with Makayla.
And now the Kitty cats…so cute!

I really love how these last few shots turned out. With Makayla sleeping so peacefully and the flowers so dreamy I feel like I entered into a fairy tale or something.
Can’t wait to see you again Makayla! : )

    Shiloh Grace Hui

Born on December 16, my third sister’s first baby, the sixth grandchild in our family, and my new niece! Everyone, meet Shiloh Grace Hui!
Don’t you just love her name? It means “gift of God” and is the place in the Bible where the Ark of the Covenant was kept. I was able to visit the actual place during my trip to Israel 2 weeks ago…how cool is that?!
Ben and Eunice decided on Grace as a middle name, because 5 years ago from Shiloh’s birth date was what they called their “Day of Grace.” It was that night that they became a couple. I love how it all fits together! : )
Shiloh is adorable. Even when she was in the womb she would “shy” away when there was a lot of noise. Now, she just pretends to sleep when there are too many people around..so funny!
This beautiful quilt was hand-sewn by Ben’s mom, by the way. I really love all the details that went into it. So much love! Plus, it made such a fun backdrop for our shoot!
Oh Shi, we love you so much! Happy 1 month from your Ayi-4!
I never did post on Ben and Eunice’s baby shower. You can find BE baby! pictures on my facebook page. If you’re looking for your photobooth pictures, they’ll be up soon!

    Anna Beth Chen

Happy 1 month to Anna Beth Chen! I took pictures for Timmy and Judy’s baby shower in October and now baby Anna is finally here. She is SO adorable and looks just like her parents! We had our photoshoot a few days after Anna was born so she’s already grown so much since these pictures were taken.
Timmy and Judy spent a lot of time preparing for Anna’s arrival- her room is super cute with lavender walls and detailed decorations. Judy even made her own mobile with little hand-sewn birds!
Love the “ABC” onesie that Judy’s friend Christine made during the baby shower. Anna Beth Chen, ABC, get it?! Love her initials!
And I love how big Timmy’s hands seem compared to Anna’s tiny body in this next picture, and then Judy’s in the next…
Oh Anna, you’re such a cutie! I’m so excited I get to watch you grow up! : ) Can’t wait to see what you’ll be like!

Law Offices of Eddie C. Ip & Associates

Taking pictures for Eddie C. Ip’s Law firm was a first for me. It’s so different from children photography- I didn’t have to make funny noises or anything to get them to look at the camera! : ) You can check out their website here!

    The Changs

I had the privilege of photographing the Changs last Sunday. They are such a beautiful family (as you can see below!) and we go waaay back! Dennis and Wendy are good friends of my older sisters and have known me since I was a little girl. It’s my turn to watch their girls grow up now and I absolutely love it! Dennis and Wendy have three little ones (who all look so much alike!) and it’s been such a joy seeing them through the different stages of their lives!
The Changs and I headed out for the Langham hoping to take a few shots by the Christmas tree they put up every year. Unfortunately it was too early on and there was no sign of Christmas (except for all the green!) at the hotel. We were very thankful for the picture-perfect weather, though!
Our first stop was at this bridge. How could we not take a few photos here after discovering its name- ” The Picture Bridge”!?
and then we moved on to another bridge! The girls loved it here. I had so much fun watching them stomp back and forth and then laugh at the funny sound their feet were making!
There are too many good spots at this hotel! In the back there’s this huge field of green. And what are the girls pointing at?
There was a squirrel on the wall for the longest time! I didn’t take a picture of it though, haha. So while the girls entertained themselves for a bit I got a quick photo of Dennis and Wendy before taking some more of the girls.
And even though the girls were having such a blast, it was time to go. I took a few last photos- here’s one of the two older girls running back to their parents. Goodbye Lagham, until next time!
